Week 2 - Day 6

Have had 2 days with some challenges. As I wrote on Friday, my husband Lasse came home friday evening, and his daughter Louice came to stay with us too (she's 14 and stays with us 2 weeks out of 4). We usually have some kind of "nice food" on friday evening, and her choice were Tacos. We always do them in tortilla bread instead of taco shells, and one bread is 2,5 points. I should have had only 2, but I couldn't resist and had 3 instead. So 7,5 points worth of tortilla bread, plus minced meat, some grated cheese and some taco sauce (which actually has has much less points than I thought! only 0,5 points per 1 dl) and lots of vegtables (I skipped the corn). Combined with 2 glasses of wine, I think I exceeded my points allowance by 5 or so points which I guess isn't that bad after all.

Yesterday it was the big moving house day for my mother-in-law. She was really excited, had been up since 5 a.m. poor soul... I helped her unpack most of her kitchen stuff, and then we had lunch at my brother- and sister-in-law's place. My sister-in-law is a great chef and she had prepared a stew with pork and rice, some salad on the side, fruit salad for desert and home-baked muffins for tea. I tried to get as little sauce as possible as I didn't know if she had cream in it, and only had 1 muffin for tea. Hard to guess how much points that put me back, so once we got home, I only had some fruit and a 1 points snack, so I think I did some kind of damage control.

Breakfast today was good, we had a nice family talk (sometimes it's more like three people sitting together but eating individually (comes with having a 14-year-old at the table I guess...). I will prepare a late luch today, from one of my many ww-cookbooks, and will make Quinoa to go with it which Louice wants to try.

Also, big news!!! We've booked our flight to Thailand and will leave on March 10th, leaving Copenhagen Airport at 17:55 and come back on the 25th, at 18:30. I've had to change our room reservations (I'm a Hilton Honors member and have been able to book our rooms for free, one upside of travelling a lot with your job!). Now we'll go to Copenhagen by train (which was really cheap, Louice travels for free and the total cost was only 700 SEK, about $100 or £55, for a 400 km/250 mile trip one way), fly out to Bangkok, stay at the Millennium Hilton Bangkok hotel for 2 nights, travel on to Hua Hin and stay at the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa for 11 nights and then go back to Bangkok for another night there, leaving Bangkok the 25th at 12:50 local time and flying back to Copenhagen where we'll arrive on the 25th at 18:30 local time. Since there are no trains back home until the next day, we'll stay one night at the Hilton Copenhagen Airport hotel. Great trip! I'm soooo looking forward to it! I really want to do good on my weight loss so I can feel confident at the beach.

Have any of you been to Thailand or even Hua Hin? What was it like?

Tina,
Wow i'm so jealous of our trip, i've always wanted to go to Thailand, it looks beautiful.
Don't feel disheartened about the weekend, if the scales don't show you what you want tomorrow, you can just put it behind you and carry on. However hard you try, there will be occasions where it's hard to stay within your points. Don't beat yourself up about it, don't dwell on it, it's in the past and there's nothing you can do to change it. Move on and stay strong.
Also, thank you for your comment. I'm devastated to learn that I may even gain weight this week because of my tummy bug. I actually did weigh today and I think i've gained 2lb. So unfair!!
I'm really pleased that we started at the same time and weigh in on the same day. On a Monday I look forward to writing a post and then checking out how you did too. Also Mand (she commented on your last post) Is my sister and she started at the same time too, and her husband. It's great to know we all have the same problems and stresses and we can support each other. Good luck tomorrow!!!
(And sorry it's so long!!)
Hel x

No I haven't. I wish I could travel. We just have so much on our plate right now as far as getting a house and getting married.

I'm Lavonne btw. From the WW boards.

I weigh in on Wednedays. Hoping for a good loss this week since I've been back in the gym and was really good through the weekend. We'll see. another 2.8 like last week would put me at my 10%

Yes, I've been to Thailand! Spent a summer there when I was in college. I loved it, but you'll find it hot and very crowded in Bangkok. Enjoy your trip! I want so badly to go back.
