I thought I'd give you the 101 on me, because sometimes I write about stuff I think I've mentioned before, and I haven't, so this is to fill in the blanks ;-)
I'm 28, will be 29 in June (born 1979). I'm from Germany originally but moved to Sweden in 1996 when I did an exchange with AFS. I liked living in Sweden very much and decided to stay! Haven't had any regrets about that. My parents still life in Germany and we see each other quite a lot because they always come to Sweden on their holidays.
After I graduated high school in 1998, I started studying and working part time. In 1999, I worked as an extra teacher because I was thinking about studying to be one. Being 19 and having students that were only 4 years younger wasn't a good thing though and put me off the teaching idea. Later that year, I started working part time as a translator, translating documents from German into Swedish and vice versa. This was the job that really changed my life, not because I did continue working with it, but because I met my husband at work. I was back then living with another guy who was what you can only describe as "bad news". When I ended the relationship in January of 2000, he started stalking me and it got really unpleasant. I was lucky to have great employers who actually let me move in with them because it wasn't safe for me to live at my old place, and that's when I met my husband, Lasse. We started dating in March of 2000, and after a year we got engaged and moved in together. We've been married for 1½ years now and we bought a house 2 years ago.
I joined WeightWatchers for the first time in 2000, right before I started dating my husband. My starting weight back then was 92,2 kg (203 lbs) and I lost 8 kg (17.6 lbs). I don't even remember why I stopped going to meetings, I guess I thought I could manage on my own. Well, big surprise - I didn't...
I weighed in again in August of 2003, at 113,1 kg (249.3 lbs), a new all-time-high (until then at least). I stuck with the programme much longer this time and lost 17 kg (37.5 lbs), weighing 96 kg (211.6 lbs). I was really motivated, but in June of 2004, two days after graduating from college, I started working in another city and had to live there during the weeks, went only home on the weekends. I continued going to meetings, but gained weight basically every week... My last journal entry was at 108,5 kg (239 lbs) in November of 2004.
I moved back home at Christmas 2004 and wanted to get back on the programme, but didn't have the motivation... New job, being back home and being able to get cosy with my family again, having nice dinners... Did a formula diet (SlimFast) in Summer 2005 and lost some weight, but it came back of course. Then we decided to get married in 2006, and I did have a goal to work towards, but I still didn't click. I got married in August of 2006, weighing around 110 kg (242.5 lbs). I then started working away from home a lot (stressful job, 120 hotel nights a year, a lot of time in the car and many opportunities to eat in private...). So I was somewhat prepared for having gained weight (I had stepped on my scales at home from time to time), but the 131 kg (289 lbs) I had as my starting weight were hard to take in anyway...
I'm currently unemployed (on leave with salary until March 31st) and have plenty of time to take care of myself, my weight loss and my fitness. And blogging of course ;-)
No excuses about it any more, let's do it!

Guten Tag!
Your life is so much more interesting than mine!!! However, my eating habits have arisen due to similar problems. We will win this fight you know, and it's so good to be able to do this together and support each other along the way.
I'd love to be able to post a response in your mother tongue, but despite gaining a GCSE in German, i'm afraid i'm very rusty now!!! It was nice to read about your life so thanks for sharing.
Chat soon,
Auf Wiedersehen!!!
