Week 1 - Day 3

So let's get it straight from the beginning. I'm a big girl. Always have been, but hopefully not always will be. The pretty, skinny girl in the picture isn't me, but someone I'd love to be in the future. I have started at Weight Watchers about 5 times without really going through with it (though I have been successful, hence the new start this week...).

I weighed in at my local Weight Watcher group on Monday, January 7th, 2008, at 131 kg. That is 289 lbs (just about, my converter tells me). And for my 5ft9, that's WAY too much. Why didn't I stay under the 100 kg mark once I reached it 2 years ago? Dunno... Lazy I guess. To satisfied with my achievements. Well, that's about to change, because I know it's now or never. I'm 29 in June and I want to be slim on my 30th birthday. Read a book once by a Swedish girl called Jenny Dahlberg, and her goal was her 30th, too. She made, and so will I. So there ;-)

What am I doing this blog for then? Well, no offence, but none of the "skinny" girls writing about their weight loss struggle when all they need to loose is 20 lbs do inspire me. I need to get my inspiration from elsewhere, and I think a blog is a great way to connect with people from everywhere who, simliar to me, need to loose about half their body weight or more to reach their goal.I'll try to write at least one post a day, telling you how life, excercise and weight loss are going. Also, I'll post links to other people's blogs and vlogs that inspire me!

So come on everybody out there, let's do it! ;-)
