Hi everybody, I've been terrible at writing these last few weeks, sorry! I have a good excuse though: I've got a new job!!! I went to the interview last wednesday at 10, and I was then called up in the evening and got the message that I got the job, and they wanted me to start on monday! So now I've been working for 4 days, and I LOVE it! Will tell you more about that later.
My weigh-in on monday went great, another kilo (2.2 lbs) lost and another 3 goals (3rd star, BMI below 40 and 20 lbs lost) reached. Yay :-)
Hope I'll find the time to write some more during the week-end!
Take care!

Weigh-in week 6
Went to my weigh-in yesterday, and I was down another kilo (2.2 lbs). Very happy about that! I feel very confident in my weight loss and everything seems very easy right now.
Job-wise, I'm fortunate enough to be in the situation where I can choose from two different jobs. I already got one of the jobs, and will go for a second interview for the other one tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Better go for now, my parents are here from Germany now and crave my attention :-)

Week 6 - Day 4
Still having a great week. Going to the gym really helps me to keep focused. I don't crave any special foods at all right now which I'm very thankful for. I try to eat lots of veggies (easy because I love them!), and still drink a lot of water (although I've been bad the last two days, musn't forget!). Keeps me from getting hungry between meals which is good.
On wednesday I went to a double class at my gym. I was planning on doing an aerobics class first and then a yoga class, but the aerobics leader didn't show up, so we were told that we were welcome to join the advanced class... I tried but it was just too fast for me. So I went and did some cardio instead, waiting for my yoga class to start. The yoga class was great, new leader I hadn't met before which can be a bit tricky, but he was very precise and his movements were quite advanced and challenging, yet fun to do. I was glad to see that he'll be doing this class even next week, I'll make sure to go then!
Yesterday I did a "Lift it" class, which basically is freeweight lifting in a group. You can choose how much weight you want to use, and the leader was great to, showing each move before you were supposed to do it and cheering us on. Great class, I want to take it again next week, too!
Due to working out every day, I have saved up quite some activity points, and I also didn't use up all my points yesterday which is good, because tonight, we'll go out to a restaurant with my brother. I've already looked at the menue, and I think there are quite some good alternatives that won't cost me a lot of points.
Happy news on my job interviews, too: I think I did really well on both the interviews I had this week, and I already got a callback for one of the jobs for monday. Great that things seem to work out :-)
I'll keep you posted on how tonight's dinner went!

Week 6 - Day 2
The new week came to good start. I've been to the gym every day, and I've already been on one job interview today and will go on another one tomorrow. I was also offered one of the jobs I interviewed for last week, but the job wasn't as great as I thought, so I declined. I hope everything will work out fine! I have another 20 or so applications that I've sent out, so I'm sure something will turn up.
I think I really start noticing changes in my body now. Both in appearance and in fitness. Having lost 7.2 kg (almost 16 lbs) does show, although I have so much more to lose. When I look in the mirror, I think my skin looks leaner, both on my body and in my face (due to drinking lots of water I guess), and my psysical fitness has improved even from one week to the other. I took the same aerobics class yesterday as I did last week, and I was able to keep up much better this time. That of course meant that I enjoyed it much more, too! So thumbs up for the gym, I'm still the biggest girl there (at most classes anyway), but that's going to change!!!!
Tomorrow the "German invasion" will start. My parents were planning on coming next week, but my brother phoned me today asking if I minded him coming tomorrow. Of course I told him that he was more than welcome. It's a great opportunity for me to meet my family since I am at home most the time anyway. My brother will stay until Saturday or Sunday and then my parents will come on Monday. Of course I want to impress them with some fine WW-cooking :-) I dig out the best recipes during the weekend. Already found one onion pie that my mum usually does in a not very WW-friendly way, but this recipe is from a WW-cookbook, and one serving is only 5 points! We'll see how that turns out.
Well, better get ready for my workout!

Week 5 Weigh-in

Hurray hurray hurray! I can't believe it! I'm down another 1,8 kg (4 lbs)!!! I really didn't think I would have lost any weight at all, so I'm very pleased with this week's outcome!
We were discussing food and excercise at our meeting today; weather to eat your activity points or not. I usually eat some of my activity points for an extra treat, but only when I feel like it. Some eat them all, some never, so I think it's up to everybody!
Well, I'll better make myself some dinner, Still have some points to use, and since I'm losing rather quick right now, I think I should eat all my points so I don't mess up my metabolism. What do you think?

Week 5 - Day 7
Sorry I haven't written all weekend... My husband came home on friday evening - and we've been spending a lot of time in bed :-)
WW-wise it's been a moderate week I think. At my weigh-in today I will probably maintain or even gain a little. I did exercise 4 times this week, and usually my body needs one week to adjust. Also, I got my monthly yesterday, and I haven't been drinking as much water as I should have... Well, nobody to blame but myself! We'll see what the scales say tonight. I'll be back with the results either tonight or tomorrow morning!

Week 5 - Day 2
Well, my workout yesterday was great! I feel so proud that I'm finally back on track with that and will go tomorrow as well. Probably won't be able to make it tomorrow because of my job interviews and Louice's riding lesson in the evening, but we'll see. Her mum might be back tomorrow at lunch, so maybe she'll take her instead.

Week 5 - Day 1
I've had quite a lucky day! I've received two calls concerning some of the applications I've sent out, and I've finally landed two job interviews. I don't know if any of these jobs are that great, but it's good to at least get to go to an interview! Both interviews are on Thursday, so I'll be able to give you the update on that in two days!
I took my measurements today as I promised and they turned out quite well! I'm very happy about the centimeters lost on my hips and waist!!!
January 7th 2008
Calf -
Knee -
Thigh 86
Hips 140
Waist 115
Breast 116
Upper arm 41
Neck -
February 5th 2008
Calf 49
Knee 52
Thigh 84,5
Hips 135
Waist 111
Breast 114
Upper arm 41
Neck 40
Well, I really do hope my waist will keep on shrinking, and faster than my boobs, because I think what makes me look rather big right now is that my boobs are almost the same size as my waist... I used to have a really well defined waist, even when I was 250 lbs, but I've really grown a large tummy the last year or two...
I went to gym yesterday for the first time in 2 weeks (or was it 3?!?), and I'm going tomight and all the other days this week too. I just trust that my foot will be able to keep up, and should I feel any pain, I can just stop doing what's uncomfortable!

Week 4 - Day 7
Just a quick post, but I'm so excited, I need to share it with all of you!!! Just got back from my weigh-in, and I'm down another 1,2 kg (2.6 lbs). I'll update my stats in a second, but I'll watch CSI NY with my stepdaughter first :-) I'll also post my measurements and all my goals which I've written down tomorrow. So check back with me :-)

Week 4 - Day 6
Had a pretty good day yesterday. Stayed precisely within my points and was able to treat myself a lot in the evening. Did something I hadn't done for a while: I prepared some vegetables and low fat yoghurt mixed with sweet chili sauce and had a great dip. Only 2 points for the yoghurt (200 ml) a the sweet chili sauce (2 tbls). Yum!
Today Louice has her riding tournament, and we won't eat "lunch" until late afternoon (more like tea then isn't it?). I'll make fish with potatoes and vegetables, and the fish will be filled with light philadephia cream cheese (recipe from one of my WW cookbooks). It sounded really nice, hope it is!
Tomorrow is my next weigh-in. I think I've been doing quite well this week, keeping within my points and only cheating on my excercise. Well, I'll be better next week, I promise :-) Tomorrow I'll also take my measurements. As I said before I've bought one of these 14-week-points-journal, and every 4 weeks, you're supposed to take your measurements. I'm really excited about that, let's see how much I've lost!

Week 4 - Day 5
Nothing much to say for today yet, it's only 11.30 am and I only had breakfast and a snack so far. 18 points left to spend :-)
I however wanted to adress one very important subject: Pap smears! I had mine done on the 21st of January, and they called my on thursday to tell me that everything was fine. I was very relieved, because I was having a bad feeling something might be wrong - again. In 2006 I had a pap smear and got a letter from the hospital that there were some abnormalties so they wanted me to re-take the test. I did so in the beginning of June, and even that one showed abnormalties, so I was told I had to have a Cervical conization which I had done the day after my birthday, the 21st of June. Luckily the results came back normal, but I did have a good scare and I really donät have to re-live that!!!
So all ladies out there, go and take your pap smears regularly, and make sure your friends and family do so too! It's not painful, and it's better knowing you're Ok than having to wonder if anything is wrong.
Be safe out there!
xx

Week 4 - Day 4
The funeral yesterday went smoothly. It was very sad of course, but I got to meet people I hadn't seen for a long time which was lovely.
After the service in church there was a memorial. They served some food too, certainly nothing too WW-friendly, but I think I managed quite well. I however didn't have a proper dinner after that because I wasn't sure how many points I had used up, so I just had some WW-sausage and some fruit in the evening.
In the evening Louice had her riding lesson. She has been horseback riding for 7 years now, and she's quite good at it I think. Many of the others who are in her class didn't seem to understand or be able to understand what the instructor told them to do, but Louice was handling it very well. She seemed happy when I pointed that out to her, and she even told Lasse over the phone how happy she was with me being there (he told me this morning). So there, some stepmum bonus ;-)
We had some snow yesterday evening as well, and it was quite windy. Nothing too bad though, it's going to melt away today since the temperature is above zero already. I just hope it won't rain, I have plans for going on a walk with a friend.
More from me later, I have three emails to write!
